Fender Stratacoustic electro-acoustic guitar black
Wrote the following about Fender Stratacoustic electro-acoustic guitar black
Firstly Bax shop - bought onlinine - excellent service... well informed and kept up to date, the progress with my purchase... first purchase from Bax will not be my last...

Right the Stratacoustic.... This is my first Fender purchase, played a few tele's strats and acoustics my friends have owned over the years, just not for me. No reason just not a Fender man

Okay my brief was a small bodied acoustic/electric instrument I could play from a fully seated position due to back injury, lightweight and easy to handle.

I was really wary of purchasing this guitar following many of the reviews I read online, (not a popular guitar it seems) ... I shouldn't have been, this is a fantastic low priced versatile instrument for serious and home users alike.

The guitar... typical stratacaster headstock and tuner arrangement - no suprise there - nice slim 'C' shaped neck with a good camber accross the fret board.(good for stubby fingered guitarist like myself, as opposed to tose with spindly spiders leg like fingers)

I changed the strings to Ernie Ball slinky acoustic strings, changed bridge sadle with the alternative one that came with the guitar, the action and intonation spot on no adjustment required.

Plays a dream, very light, slim body and good sound quality unplugged.. never gonna be great due to the plastic back, but great for noodling around. - Good for banging out chords and little blues riffs etc alike, This guitar gives you the action and feel of a fully fledged electric and acoustic straight out the box.

Okay the electrics.... Fishman Tuner... not over impressed - note display with red left led flatish - right red led sharpish and green led for in tune, oh and a red dot for fully flattened notes(personaly I like to see how close or far out the string is as opposed to its either out/in tune) But this can be forgiven when plugged in and played... good deep rich tones with good range of adjustments to suit all tastes of music.

Okay the Stratacoustic... would I recommend it... well I've hardly put mine down since it arrived, my friends love it and are now frantically trying to sell their acoustics. Its uch an easy instrument - slim, small, lightweight(bought an Epiphone wildkat and the weight sends my leg to sleep)good sounds most importantly and I can't stop looking at it when not playing. Yes I guess thats a recommendation.

Friday 8 April 2016 By Richard | Bax Music

Of the many new products presented at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, some, like this new acoustic guitar from Yamaha, are real standouts. Yamaha themselves refer to the TransAcoustic system as revolutionary and it's not hard to see why. The Yamaha LL-TA dreadnought and the LS-TA triple oh models produce a sound that'll make you think you're playing in a room with great acoustics no matter where you are.
