General

For those who like to record the sound of their acoustic guitar in a studio or use it live on stage, Fender offers an electro-acoustic version of the F-1000. The F-1000CE is a steel-string guitar that reminds one of the good old days. It's distinctive look was derived from a classic Fender model by the same name, from the fifties. This F-1000CE has the same characteristic, large headstock and Viking-style bridge and despite its Fishman electronics, it is surprisingly affordable.

Fender F-1000CE: Dreadnought with cutaway

The F-1000CE has a sizeable Dreadnought body which large volume and shape provide a full, loud sound. The top is made of spruce, the sides and back of mahogany. A classic combination for a warm and yet clear tone. The elegant Venetian-style cutaway provides unhindered access to the 20th fret. The F-1000CE has a comfortable mahogany neck with a slender C profile and a beautiful, maple F inlay to mark the 12th fret on its rosewood fretboard.

Electronics and details

Judging by its luxurious details, you wouldn't have guessed that this is a budget-friendly guitar. It brandishes a maple inlay on its headstock and a graceful wooden inlay rosette. Its string nut and bridge saddle are made of Graphtech NuBone, which has the same properties as genuine bone. The electronics of the Fender F-1000CE comprise a Fishman Isys III pickup/preamp system with a 3-band EQ, a volume control and a built-in tuning device.
