General
The Fender CD-60CE has been a long-time favourite with beginner guitarists, young and old. It comes fully equipped with the more expensive features, despite its affordability. The CD-60CE All Mahogany is an electro-acoustic steel-string guitar from Fender's Classic Design series. It has a dreadnought body made completely out of mahogany, giving it warmer basses, richer mids and sweeter trebles compared to the models that have spruce tops and nato sides and backs. Not to mention that the red-brown makes for a rather attractive guitar.
Fender CD-60CE All Mahogany: with Fishman electronics
This steel-string acoustic guitar can be used with or without amplification. That's because it has a built-in piezo pickup and an active Isys III preamp made by the renowned Fishman company, making it perfect for recording and stage performances. The preamp is equipped with a 3-band EQ consisting of bass, mid, treble and volume controls. It also has a digital chromatic tuner with LED indicators, making it perfectly suited for darker stages.
Additional characteristics
The Fender CD-60CE All Mahogany is beautifully finished with a black pickguard and black bindings around the body and fretboard. The 20-fret neck is also made of mahogany and has a comfortable width of just 41.2 millimetres, making this steel-string guitar perfectly playable for those who have small hands. A set of die-cast tuners combined with the synthetic bone nut and saddle keep this guitar in excellent tune.

al bij al veel gitaar voor niet al te veel geld, ziet er ook prachtig uit
Daarnaast is het een schoonheid om te zien, het reliëf in het mahoniehout zorgt voor een speelse uitstraling in vergelijking met gitaren van blank hout.
En het allerbelangrijkste is natuurlijk de klank! Doordat de gitaar volledig gemaakt is van mahonie, zorgt dit voor een warme klank. Wanneer je de gitaar op een versterker aansluit heb je met behulp van het bedieningspaneel ook alle vrijheid om het geluid verder aan te passen aan jouw smaak. Dit doe je met de verschillende instellingen voor bas-medium-high.
Al met al een super gitaar voor zowel beginnende als gevorderde speler!

Een gitaar waar je graag uren op wil spelen.
Met de preamp van fishman is het ook een super beleving als je de gitaar op de versterker aan sluit.
Of natuurlijk wilt opnemen en hem gelijk in je audio interface plugged.
De service was ook weer super en het pakket was zoals beloofd de zelfde dag in huis!!
Hoe mooi wil je het hebben!

Toen ik hem voor het eerst bespeelde was ik erg verrast doordat de meeste gitaren die versterkt kunnen worden en een cut hebben vaak niet zo goed zijn.
Persoonlijk vind ik dit wel een beginners/gevorderde gitaar en zal ik hem afraden voor professional studio/live werk.
Dit komt doordat de gitaar versterkt minder zuiver klinkt en in sommige weersomstandigheden sneller ongestemd raakt.
