General

The Roland R07 field recorder is a practical, portable device that's compact while still offering all the functionality modern-day technology has to offer. The (stereo) signal quality is 96 kHz and 24 bits. It also boasts Bluetooth capability so you can listen to your recordings on a set of Bluetooth headphones or speaker. There's also a traditional mini aux output as well as a built-in speaker.

Properties of the Roland R07

The biggest problem when it comes to recording is the volume level of the audio source. You want the output to be as high as possible, but want to avoid clipping at all costs. The R07 features Dual Recording, which means it creates two recordings at once, one at a lower volume level than the other, so you will always have a usable recording to fall back on should the other one be too loud. Thanks to Hybrid Limiting, the softer, clean signal can be saved as WAV and/or MP3 in various bit rates.

Applications

For journalists and reporters, the R07 is an excellent voice recorder. Music producers and foley editors are also sure to appreciate the R07 to record ambient sounds for various purposes. The controls are so intuitive, you'll only need to use one button in most cases. The large display shows you relevant up-to-date information. In short, the R07 is a complete, high-quality piece of portable technology that musicians, producers, reporters and other creative spirits are sure to enjoy!

Roland R07 W field recorder, white
Wrote the following about Roland R07 W field recorder, white
