General

This fierce 6-channel recorder from Marantz is designed for the serious and discerning professional or enthusiastic videographer. The PMD-706 can be directly connected to a DSLR camera or used as a comprehensive field recorder. Four combi XLR/jack inputs are provided for microphone and line-level sources, as well as a pair of TRS mini-jack inputs just in case. Professional videographers are likely to be reassured by the Dual Record function which enables up to three duplicate tracks to be made as you record, securing your recordings against any nasty surprises if anything should go wrong. TRS to XLRF breakout cables come included so that balanced recordings can be captured, and this little unit can run on alkaline batteries for up to 5.5 hours or be powered by a USB adapter or USB connected computer.

Marantz Launches Ribbon Microphones and Boom Poles
