The Stereo Videomic gives just that bit extra, for people who require more from their high-quality microphone. For instance, that it needs to be a stereo microphone. Also, it obviously needs to record a clear sound without picking up on ambient noise in outdoor environments. For precisely that purpose, Rode have developed this bundle for fanatical outdoor movie makers!

What's in the box?!

Steady on Brad Pitt! The Videomic, a VC-1 cable to connect the mic to your camera and a SMV carrying bag, are all included. This way, you can take everything with you in one go. And as this is a budget bundle, the accessories come at no extra cost!

Why choose the Stereo Videomic?

In outdoor environments you need to be able to conduct interviews without suffering from wind noise or ambient sounds in your recordings. This is why the Stereo Videomic picks up most of the sound at the front and only a little at the back and sides.

onlangs de rode stereo videomic besteld als zomerpakket, de bestelling deed ik om 15.00 uur en exact 24 uur later werd het pakket afgeleverd.
Daarbij viel het mij op dat de spullen zeer goed en veilig waren verpakt en dat is toch een pluspunt als je weet hoe de post met de pakketten omgaat.
De videomic heb ik aan een eerste test onderworpen en ben nu al onder de indruk van zijn prestaties.
M.a.w. de firma Bax en Rode kunnen bij mij niet meer stuk, ga zo door zou ik zeggen.

Wrote the following about Rode VC1 microphone extension cable

Ik had eerder een Boya BY-K1 3.5 mm TRS naar Lightning aangekocht om de ontvanger van mijn draadloze microfoon te kunnen koppelen aan mijn Iphone. Het kabeltje tupe Boya BY-K1 3.5 mm TRS naar Lightning is echter slechts 20 cm, wat hopeloos te kort was. Na wat zoeken en enkele verlengkabels te hebben uitgeprobeerd zonder succes zag ik via de Bax- shop de Rode VC1 microfoon verlengkabel. Ik kocht deze aan en met deze kabel bleek de juiste keuze te zijn voor de doeleinden waarvoor ons actualiteitsagentschap deze wilde gebruiken. Het reportagewerk verloopt in elk geval vanaf heden een stuk gemakkelijker.

Prima kabel, goede kwaliteit en het stukje spiraalkabel zorgt ervoor dat er nooit teveel kracht op de uiteinden waar je de kabel mee verbindt. Perfect!

Kwalitatief goed product. Kabel is stevig, female zijde vertoont geen speling (geen storingen of los contact dus!), male zijde is voorzien van een goede jack plug.
Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is zeer sterk. aanrader!

Geweldige kabel -bezorgd met de stiptheid die ik van Bax gewend ben- die ik gebruik om met koptelefoon tv te kunnen kijken. Drie meter is dan net genoeg.

Wrote the following about Rode Stereo VideoMic condenser shotgun microphone

Zeer tevreden met de (geluids)kwaliteit van de Rode SVM N3594.
Op mijn Sony A58 zit geen uitgebreide geluidsinstelling, maar door de twee configuraties op de Rode microfoon kan ik omgevingsgeluiden, stemmen en zelfs live band muziek (+100db) probleemloos opnemen. In een stille omgeving zijn uiteraard de camera geluiden hoorbaar.
Onder op de microfoon zit een standaard statief aansluiting, waardoor deze op een statief(je) los van de camera kan worden geplaatst. En met een Jack verlengkabel of draadloze optie is het geluid nog beter te bepalen.
Het LEDje achterop laat overigens duidelijk zien dat deze aanstaat, waardoor ik zelden vergeet de microfoon aan te zetten.
Geheel werkt op 9V batterij.

Erg fijne microfoon die een fijn breed geluid opneemt. Ik wilde deze gaan gebruiken voor het thuis opnemen van live muziek met video, maar daarin viel het mij op dat ik voor het opnemen van zang toch wel redelijk dicht op de microfoon (dus op mijn camera) moet zitten. Anders mis ik overduidelijk een aantal frequenties of klinkt mijn stemgeluid gewoon een beetje dun.

Verder is het wel een overduidelijk verbetering ten opzichte van slechts de microfoon van mijn camera gebruiken, dus in die zin ben ik er helemaal te vreden over.

Kabel is plusminus 3 meter!
