Tascam iXR mobile audio interface for iPad
Product no: 9000-0026-4550 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

If you value the ability to record music on location, then the iXR mobile audio interface by Tascam is just what the doctor ordered. It features two combined XLR/jack inputs and outputs, high-quality preamps and a maximum sample rate of 96 kHz, meaning it's ready to make some professional recordings. While the Tascam iXR interface is entirely compatible with your iPad using the included Lightning cable, you can also use it with your OSX or Windows-based systems. Furthermore, the iXR features a durable aluminium housing and is powered through the USB cable when connected to your Mac or PC. Alternatively, when you're using the interface with your iPad, you'll need the separately available AC Apple adapter to power the unit. Finally, it even comes with the Cubase LE software package at no additional charge.

Excellent preamps

On the iXR, you'll find two high-quality combined XLR/jack inputs and outputs. Furthermore, the Ultra-HDDA preamps, in particular, are sublime additions, and with a sample frequency of up to 96 kHz at a 24-bit audio resolution, your productions will be on par with those made by professional studios. You can use both dynamic mics and condenser mics to record vocals, as the iXR has phantom power. Of course, you can also record instruments such as keyboards and guitars using the line level inputs, and you can send the signal directly on to a mixing console, for instance. And with the direct monitor feature, you can even use the iXR to monitor your instruments in real time, with no latency!

Total control and flexibility.

Another interesting feature that the iXR brings to the table, is the ability to use it as a standalone unit—meaning you won't need a computer or tablet. That can come in quite handy when you're rehearsing with your band, for instance, and need to make some quick guide tracks for future reference. Both the headphone output and the regular outputs feature independently adjustable volume levels, so you'll have total control. The wait for the perfect device is over: the iXR allows you to make professional recordings wherever you are!
