General

The high-end Prism Sound Lyra 1 audio interface sets up your studio with superior AD/DA conversion and clocking. This unit is built for engineers that demand the best of the best but don't necessarily need an army of I/Os. The single preamp has such a squeaky clean, transparent character that what you put in comes out completely colour and distortion free, so you're literally 'capturing' and recording sound. Meanwhile, a soft-clip limiter keeps the result free of hindering peaks, and ensures that the transients are recorded without signal loss while the limit is determined. The levels are monitored via the Prism Sound Lyra software control panel where global settings like buffer modes, sample rate selection, and audio source synchronisation can also be managed

Verifile Recording or Audio Stream Fault Checks

Another feature that makes the Lyra so interesting, is the included 'Verifile' technology that actively check for faults in any recorded audio or live streams, helpfully pin-pointing drop-outs, clicks, and other, usually undetectable blemishes. This intelligent slice of tech helps clean the signal of otherwise unacceptable errors, leaving you with absolute peace of mind and a clean result, and since the whole process is carried out so seamlessly, you barely notice it's happening, so you can fully focus on the work at hand. On the strength of Verifile alone, the Lyra is the perfect partner for professional mixing and mastering.

Prism Sound Lyra 1 Audio Interface
Wrote the following about Prism Sound Lyra 1 Audio Interface
Arrived quick smart and has improved my sound ten fold! Not going to lie, it was a bit confusing to use initially. The instruction manual seems to be aimed more toward audio engineers. So as a VO artist with mid range technical abilities, it was a steep learning curve. Luckily all learning is good learning, so it's still 5 stars from me.

Thursday 7 January 2016 By Richard | Bax Music

These days, films can be recorded entirely on smartphones, and some YouTubers are more famous than television presenters. The gap between professionals and amateurs is becoming smaller. Cameras on today's smartphones offer excellent image quality that is getting harder and harder to distinguish from 'the real thing'. Sound quality on smartphones, on the other hand, is an area that is still in need of some improvement. That's where the iKlip A/V from IK Multimedia comes in.
