De koptelefoon is full range flat response. Hierdoor is het uitstekend voor muziekproductie. Alle frequenties komen goed door. Met gitaar spelen heb ik hem gekoppeld op mijn Line 6 Helix. Dit is een digitale modelling die het beste functioneert op FRFR. En dit werkt uitstekend. Gemaakte gitaartonen kan ik zo meenemen naar live setting met PA-systemen. Perfect dus.
De presonus verslaat de UX1 aan alle kanten vind ik persoonlijk. Vooral de omhulzing is goed stevig. En de knoppen draaien lekker met een beetje gewicht eraan dat uit pro kwaliteit. Verder heb je een stroom aansluiting bij de ux1 was dat alleen USB wat veel nadelen met zich bracht ook tijdens het producen.
De presonus is een betrouwbaar apparaat die goed doet waarvoor die gemaakt is. Mijn geluidsprogramma herkende de presonus meteen de interface op de pc is makkelijk en simpel gemaakt. Ik heb nu mijn effecten bak erop aangesloten met 2 synths en daarmee kan je mooi een goed stukje muziek maken.
Ik gebruik hem alleen thuis aan een Casio Privia PX-110 digitale piano. Het half-open karakter zorgt ervoor dat het omgevingsgeluid enigszins mengt. Dat draagt bij aan het gevoel dat het geluid 'klopt', want als ik op een echte piano speel dan hoor ik ook het omgevingsgeluid. Als ik nu met de hoofdtelefoon op speel kan ik echt opgaan in het geluid.
Hij is licht, drukt niet zwaar op het hoofd en de schelpen zijn vrij groot (drukken niet op je oren). De schuimring is relatief hard maar omdat de druk laag is zit dat alsnog erg prettig. De hoofdband heeft verder geen verstelmogelijkheden maar schuift zelf in en uit naar gelang hoe je hem op je hoofd zet.
Super voor binnen, maar als je vaak onderweg ben raad ik deze niet aan. Hij is niet inklapbaar en denk dat hij niet heel goed zal blijven zitten als je bijvoorbeeld op de fiets zit.
Voor mij zonder twijfel de beste hoofdtelefoon onder de 50 euro.
