General
The Ultralite mk3 Hybrid is the most compact and versatile audio interface by Motu. This new sound card is unique in that it can be connected to your computer via USB and FireWire.
It has a sample rate of up to 192 kHz and enough digital and analogue inputs and outputs, among which are two instrument and microphone inputs, equipped with a preamp, 48V phantom power supply and a -20dB pad. It is equipped with six analogue inputs, ten analogue outputs, a stereo SPDIF and a headphone output with volume control. To make it complete, it also has a MIDI in and out.
With this audio interface you will have DSP effects like a seven-band parametric EQ with various filter types, reverbs and two compressors. One of these compressors is modelled after the vintage LA2A compressor by Teletronix. These effect can be controlled via the accessory CueMix software.
The Ultralite mk3 Hybrid is a good interface to take with you to your gigs, thanks to its compact exterior. It is also very well suited for studio work.

Ik gebruik hem nu reeds 4 jaar. (bij bax gekocht)
Ik zie veel klachten over kraken en biepjes, en ja dat klopt.
wanneer gebeurt dit ?
start eerst de motu op (aanzetten en wacht 20 seconden)
dan pas je pc _windows starten. dat is 1 probleem opgelost
2 soms gaat hij idd echt kraken als je heel veel tracks hebt en je latency in de Daw heel klein staat. zet die wat groter of asio onder setup in mijn geval cubase er even uitzetten en er terug in plaatsen,,,opgelost !!
Soms inderdaad start je de computer en hebt geen soundcard in windows
pc mekkert dan geen soundkaart gevonden.
Mijn DAW is cubase : Klik cubase device / device setup / vst audio system / en plaats de motu asio er terug in - probleem opgelost !!
waarom hij soms grapjes maakt weet ik niet.
wat ik wel weet dat je grapjes zo snel oplost.
overigens na 4 jaar tevreden met de sound en de preamps die zeer goed zijn.
kraken is meestal een te kleine latency (asio) of te weinig Ram en cpu kracht.
Ook thuis, aan en gaan. kan bijna niet makkelijker.
Alles plug and play, klikker de klik, werkt zoals het hoort. In combinatie met een Mac lijkt hij iets stabieler te draaien dan op Windows 10, kan ook aan het werkgeheugen liggen van de desbetreffende laptop.
Enig minpunt, ik blijf de potmeters / knoppen altijd een beetje ielig vinden. Robuuster is beter zullen we maar zeggen.

Het apparaat aangesloten op PC met windows 7 64 bits op de usb2.0 poort.
Beste is om eerst alles aan te sluiten, en dan pas de computer aanzetten
Na de software geinstalleerd te hebben, de ultralite met een video/audio track van youtube getest, en cuemix FX ingeregeld, na wat zoekwerk hoe het allemaal werkt
Grandioos geluid was het resultaat en geen problemen met pops cracks en andere stoor geluiden.
Ben er zeeeeer tevreden over
Geluid is goed,bouw ook en je hebt heerlijk veel aansluitingen en je kunt direct aan je mixje effecten toevoegen, wat ik het grootste pluspunt vind. Het is absoluut geen slecht model, maar achterhaald qua scherm e.d. en voor 460euro is er genoeg te koop.
Focusrite heeft tuurlijk over directe dsp, maar ook daarvan zijn er een paar oude modellen met nieuwe jasjes en dat kunen ze gezien de concurrentie niet lang meer doen.
Al met al is hij leuk en ik heb nu nog e microbook2 ,welke geluidstechnisch niet slechter scoort. Qua aansluitingen wel:).....
Het zit allemaal indezelfde prijsklasse en slecht klinkt er geen 1
Je kunt makkelijk kiezen welke sample rate je wil tot 192kHz, bij SPDIF wel even checken of de bron ook deze sample-rate aankan anders blijft het verdacht stil.
Klei maar fijn en een aanrader voor eenieder die niet de Rolling Stones wil opnemen maar wel voor kwaliteit gaat.
