MOTU's versatile MicroBook II USB audio interface may be small in size, but delivers a grand performance. This pocket-size audio interface turns your Mac or PC into a full-blown recording studio. Connect your guitar, keyboard or microphone, and you're able to make professional, flawless audio recordings, while clear LED meters keep you informed of your recording status. Featuring a USB 2.0 port for low latency, an XLR microphone input and 96kHz recording and playback support, the MOTU MicroBook II makes all your audio projects a guaranteed success.
MicroBook II: microphone preamplifier and Hi-Z input
The stylish, durable housing of this comprehensive audio interface is fitted with four analogue inputs, which allow for effortless simultaneous recording. A microphone preamplifier is also at your disposal, complete with 48V phantom power supply to accommodate high-grade condenser microphones. Additionally, the MicroBook II features two balanced line inputs and a Hi-Z input for guitar, as well as balanced jack outputs, a digital S/PDIF output and a headphone output. Monitor your live mix via your desktop speakers or your headphones - the choice is yours.

The MOTU MicroBook II interface comes with powerful, comprehensive software: CueMix. With this intuitive program, you'll be able to achieve outstanding mixing results. CueMix enables you to make professional audio recordings of your microphone, guitar and keyboard. If you like, you can send the same mix to various of the interface's outputs. Practical features like a parametric equalizer and a compressor for each input and output provide you with a clear overview, so you'll get the exact results you want. utilisation sur PC portable . L'installation s'est faite sans problèmes.
L'utilisation du sofware "CUEMIX" assez compliquer et instable ( redemarrage sans arrets). Utilisation pendant 2 jours puis Retour pour échange contre une focusrite scarlette 6i6. (avis prochainement).

En de bijgeleverd software voor de dsp, dus niet het uitgebreide programma, maar voor de basic unit, laat je makkelijk even een compressor op een uit/ingang zetten , en de compressor is er ook 1 welke goed werkt en een graph.eq. welk erg ruim bewerkbaar is
,maar dat was onnodig bij mij. De interface koht ik voor line out en koptelefoon en zeker qua koptelefoon steekt hij met zijn hoofdje boven het maaiveld uit vergelijk focusrite e.d. welke door de mand vallen. Het lijkt alsof hij nauwelijks in en ouputs heeft,maar dat is bdrog....
Je kunt v4 ingangen tegelijk recorden:lijn, instrument, mic en tevevens return met effecten naar je output. DE digitaalout is gekoppeld aan je mainout. Het is prima aar voor zijn geld.
Je zult je even moeten verdiepen in de werking van de unit met de eindeloze draaibare knoppen, welke je in kunt drukken voor de functies. En de rechterbdient tevens als volume knop.
Ik zouvoor het geld geen betere weten.

MOTU MicroBook II kreeg onlangs in de Sound on Sound een prima recensie en voldeed eigenlijk aan al mijn eisen. MOTU draait al lang mee, is Mac georiënteerd en heeft ook prima drivers. Een no-nonense, klein stevig zwart kastje met twee draaiknoppen die niet kunnen afbreken bij vervoer.
Het is even zoeken hoe je signaal krijgt op je Hoofdtelefoon-uitgang bij programmas zoals iTunes en Garageband, maar dat wordt op de website van MOTU goed uitgelegd.

Wat je meteen ook bij het meegeleverde CueMix brengt, waar je British EQ & Compressie kan instellen op de interface zelf én zonder latency. Altijd handig!
Enige nadeel dat ik heb ondervonden is dat je inderdaad je USB-kabel bij het opstarten soms even moet loskoppelen en weer aansluiten.
Kortom een prima performer, zeker als je de prijs in acht neemt.
Omdat ik ook Garageband wil gebruiken heb ik wel wat uitzoekwerk gehad om de complete mix over het hoofdtelefoon kanaal te krijgen, maar dat bleek na navraag bij Motu een Garageband issue.
Bij opstarten van mijn MacBook moet ik de usb kabel even lostrekken om de interface te activeren, enige minpunt.
De levering van Bax-shop was wederom volgens het boekje.
Om kwart voor tien 's avonds besteld, de volgende dag om half zes in huis.
De concurrentie heeft het nakijken en voor een te betalen prijs.
