General
The Icon Mobile 6 is an ultra-compact all-in-one solution for your home or mobile studio. The bright red Mobile 6 provides you with two microphone inputs with phantom power, perfect for your condenser studio microphones. As they are combo connectors, they're also suitable for your line signals. Both inputs have individual gain control, so you can adjust the input signal for your software to your liking. On the back of the unit, you'll find an additional two line inputs and four outputs. The Icon Mobile 6 is not just a 24-bit audio interface, however, it's also a controller for your recording software!
Icon Mobile 6: compact yet remarkably complete
In total, this Icon is equipped with seven faders: two for the microphone inputs, four for the individual channels, and one for the master. They give you hands-on control over the virtual faders of your DAW, so you'll no longer have to work with your computer mouse. If that doesn't improve your workflow – although we're convinced it will - the controller's transport buttons (Play, Stop, Rewind, Fast Forward, Record) definitely will. Various fader banks enable you to operate more than four channels, and a large jog wheel allows for quick search and control. A headphone connector can be found on either side of this audio interface/MIDI controller, each with its own volume knob. Both headphone outputs are switchable, so you can monitor various channels. Finally, the Icon Mobile 6 can be fully integrated into your digital studio, thanks to the presence of a MIDI input and output.
