This guitar-to-USB interface does exactly what its name suggests: it converts your guitar playing to a digital file. This interface is suitable for both PC and Mac. It is nicely compact and features a jack plug connector for guitar and a jack plug connector for headphones or a set of studio monitors.

so I looked for a replacement and came across the Behringer UCG1902.
First thing I liked was the price , its low and as a pensioner thats important.
Its made by Behringer whos equipment I have owned before and know it to be good.
It came with drivers , editing software , a copy of NI Combos ( I didnt use that as I
already have Guitar rig 5 ) and even came with a USB lead to connect it up. I set it all up
in 5 minutes and it worked first try. The UCG102 has a headphone volume control but I didnt see me needing that, being old my hearing is failing so have most things turned up full , but a nice suprise was , I could turn it down and its still plenty loud enough. I didnt notice any
latency at all between hiting a string and hearing the sound , so now I happily play along to the MP3s on my PC .
I am so pleased I found the UCG102 and would reccomend it to anyone. and thank you BAX for the quick delivery

En dan met software zoals Rakarrack kan je zowat alle effecten pedalen simuleren. Met guitarix kan je dan weer verschillende versterkers simuleren. Perfect.

Onder windows werkt het iets minder goed. Daar heb ik last van wat lag maar nog net te doen.
Wil je echt opnemen met kwalitatief goed geluid, dan raadt ik deze af en doe je er goed aan om iets meer uit te geven aan bijvoorbeeld de Focusrite Scarlett Solo.
