General
The Behringer UMC1820 is a comprehensive audio/MIDI interface that works with 96kHz (24-bit) resolution for professional conversion and audio quality. Thanks to Behringer's collaboration with MIDAS, the UMC1820 has 8 outstanding mic preamps with phantom power for your condenser microphones. The preamps have outstanding headroom and response, and the low-noise components guarantee spotless audio transmission. Furthermore, the 18 inputs and 20 outputs stream to Mac or Windows computers with low latency. The UMC1820 is compatible with all accessible DAWs, including ProTools, Ableton and Cubase.
Control and connectors
There are a number of controls available for recording and playback situations. You have a switchable direct monitoring option, for instance, for a 'clean' incoming audio signal. In addition, there's also a stereo/mono switch and a rotary knob for adjusting the balance between input and playback. Along with analogue connectors, the UMC1820 also has an optical input and output that supports A/PDIF, ADAT and S/MUX up to 96 kHz. Connect the optional Behringer ADA8200 to the ADAT input and you'll have no fewer than 16 MIDAS preamps at your disposal.
Construction
This 18x20 box has a 1U rack size, so it can be easily integrated with multiple models in a professional audio setup. Depending on how you wish to place the UMC1820, you can also remove the rack ears. The interface features a rugged housing that can withstand intensive use, and as a bonus, Behringer offers a recording bundle with 150 instrument and effect plugins online! De Shure sm7b is een mic die mega veel gain nodig heeft om te werken en dat redden veel interfaces niet.
Deze behringer heeft er absoluut geen moeite mee en stuurt deze perfect aan.
Ik gebruik hem met Linux: er zijn geen bijzondere drivers nodig. Het zou kunnen dat er enkele features onbereikbaar zijn (zoals geavanceerde routing opties) maar ik mis deze niet.
De input volumes en de instelling welke clocksource te gebruiken (intern of SPDIF) zijn gewoon beschikbaar in alsamixer (wat bijvoorbeeld niet het geval is met m'n M-Audio waarvan ik de digitale inputs dus niet kon gebruiken). Alle inputs en outputs presenteren zich binnen alsamixer als stereo-kanalen, waarvan links/rechts niet apart onafhankelijk van elkaar kunnen worden maar aangezien alles toch uiteindelijk met een DAW wordt geregeld is dat helemaal geen probleem.
(De eerste dag dacht ik abusievelijk dat sommige kanalen erg gevoelig waren voor storing van andere apparaten, maar dat was omdat ik line-inputs gebruikte en het "Pad" knopje op de voorkant niet had ingeschakeld voor deze inputs waardoor ze gewoon veel te gevoelig waren. Alles werkt gewoon helemaal prima, ik had de handleiding eerst gewoon even door moeten nemen.)
Ik kan deze interface zeker aanraden!
Ik gebruik hem in mijn radiostudio waar ik diverse digitale audiobronnen naar het mengpaneel moet aansturen. ik had eerst de Tascam US-16x08 USB die dit niedt kon.
Verder een prima aparaat maar niet voor mijn toepassing. Door een snelle omruilactie van Bax-shop heb ik een geweldige ervaring erbij. Dank voor dit al en het meedenken en snelle levering.
De Behringer U-PHORIA UMC1820 was een kwestie van aansluiten, drivers downloaden en werken. KAATJING. Direct ermee aan de slag gegaan.
Nu inbouwen en programma's maken.
Voor deze prijs ga je geen betere interface met veel inputs vinden.
