Het Symphony I/O systeem van Apogee is een modulaire multi-channel audio interface voor de Mac met geweldige AD/DA converters. U kunt kiezen uit vier Symphony I/O basis configuraties: 2x6, 8x8, 16x16 of de 8x8 met 8 mic preamps. De Symphony I/O 8x8 basis configuratie kan acht analoge en tien digitale kanalen tegelijkertijd afspelen en ook opnemen. Mocht uw studio groeien of het aantal ingangen onvoldoende zijn, kunt u het aantal in- en uitgangen uitbreiden met behulp van los verkrijgbare uitbreidingskaarten.

De superieure geluidskwaliteit van de Symphony I/O 8x8
De Symphony I/O 8x8 heeft acht analoge gebalanceerde line in- en uitgangen met een D-Sub 25 pins aansluiting en 8 schakelbare digitale in- en uitgangen. Via een schakelaar bepaald u of u deze via het Optical of AES/EBU formaat wilt gebruiken. Daarnaast heeft hij ook een coaxiale S/PDIF in- en uitgang. Symphony I/O is het resultaat van 25 jaar ontwerp ervaring en Apogee is erin geslaagd om een uiterst efficiënt circuit te ontwerpen. Dit resulteert in een subliem, gedefinieerd en transparant audio signaal.

Flexibiliteit
Het Symphony I/O chassis heeft twee module slots. Eén ervan is gevuld met de 8x8 module en de ander is optioneel te vullen met één van de vijf uitbreidingskaarten. Ook kunt u de geluidskaart op verschillende manieren op uw Apple werkstation aansluiten. Standaard gaat dat via USB, maar het systeem kan ook aangesloten worden op een Pro Tools HD, Symphony 64 PCI-e of Thunderbolt (via de optionele Symphony 64 Thunderbridge) setup. De Symphony I/O een veelzijdige audio interface die de geluidskwaliteit van uw producties naar een hoger niveau tilt.
