Product no: EL-IO2EXPRESS Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

This compact recording interface is small enough to easily fit into your mobile recording setup, backpack or laptop bag. Despite its moderate size, it is equipped with high-grade components and studio-grade circuitry.

Discrete-design preamplifiers and real 48-Volt phantom power enable you to record the full signal of a microphone. High-grade analogue-to-digital converters ensure that every detail of your session or performance is picked up - and played on your monitoring system. The iO2 Express is class-compliant, so you can use it in a plug-and-play fashion with nearly any computer.

The iO2 Express is USB bus-powered, so no separate, impractical power adapter is required. Its performance is optimised for minimum battery use in combination with a laptop, so you can easily record long sessions and performances.

This audio interface is equipped with two input channels. Each channel has an XLR microphone input, a 6.3 mm TRS stereo jack input for external effect devices and a 6.3 mm TS mono jack input that works with audio sources at line level, and is suited for direct connection to a guitar.

This device transmits and receives two audio channels via a single USB cable for a simple, universal interface. Thanks to two 6.3 mm balanced jack outputs you can listen to your recordings via any studio monitor or speaker system. The iO2 Express is also equipped with a 6.3 mm TRS stereo jack output for remote tracking or alternative playback.

Finally, the iO2 is fitted with traditional MIDI in and outputs that enable you to run and control software by means of keyboard and pad controllers, workstations and other MIDI-compatible instruments.

Each channel has a gain trim control, and there is a master level control for optimal gain settings. If you use your headphones for pre-listening purposes, you will certainly appreciate the separate volume control. By means of the three-colour, stereo VU meters and LED status indicators, you can visually keep track of your monitor levels and operation.

In order to provide a complete package, the iO2 Express is supplied with a copy of Steinberg Cubase LE sequencing software. Cubase is one of the most popular DAWs world-wide, due to its intuitive interface for composing, recording, audio editing and mixing. The iO2 Express is compatible with nearly all audio and MIDI software.
