General

Back in the day, when keyboards were still quite simple, they weren't really taken seriously by many. Times have changed, however, and the Yamaha PSR-S970 is testament to that. This comprehensive keyboard is part of the PSR series, and entirely future-proof. An astonishing number of high-grade sounds in a wide range of categories is at your disposal: key instruments, wind instruments, strings, guitars, synthesizers, you name it. Besides hundreds of regular and XG sounds, Yamaha also included various special sounds with appealing names like Sweet!Voices, Cool!Voices and S.Art!Voices. If you really want to blow your audience away, these are the sounds to turn to.

Characteristics of the Yamaha PSR-S970

A march, a waltz, a ballad, a tango, or something completely different... Like any decent keyboard, the PSR-S970 offers these standard styles, which allow you to play numerous famous songs without requiring any technical know-how or musical knowledge. Select a style, press the One Touch Settings button, and the keyboard automatically provides you with the right setup. The PSR-S970 boasts a great many features, but thanks to a large colour display, there's no need to worry about losing track of what you're doing. Attractive visuals give you a clear overview of your actions. Furthermore, this Yamaha keyboard comes with enough memory for future sound and rhythm expansion. You'll be able to broaden your options, giving the PSR-S970 timeless appeal.

Additional possibilities

As the PSR-S970 is equipped with an arpeggiator and a sequencer, you're able to produce your own music. You can even play back audio, like MP3 files. That may seem like a gimmick, but it allows you to practise your own parts with a backing track. Two times 15 watts of amplification provide this Yamaha PSR with a decent sound. Finally, the keyboard has all the inputs and outputs you need to connect your computer, USB sticks, headphones, MIDI gear, microphones and guitars.

Yamaha PSR-S970 keyboard
Wrote the following about Yamaha PSR-S970 keyboard
