Electronic percussion pads have, just like drum computers, a lot of sounds to choose from. They often also allow for programming and recording rhythms. The difference is that percussion pads are designed to be hit just like actual drums. They have one or more large touch-sensitive surfaces (pads) which can be played with hands, fingers or drum sticks. Percussion pads are handy for practising and are great for augmenting your acoustic kit. They can also be used in the studio for playing electronic drum parts, though. If you want a completely digital drum kit, have a look at our range of electronic drum kits. Also, have a look at the rest of our Electronic Percussion department. A completely different type of drum pad are drum practice pads.
