An outstanding choice for intermediate or fledgling drummers alike, the Medeli DD635 has a comfortably familiar look and playing feel to help hone those skills in the comfort of your own home. Not only do you get access to an immense 580-strong library of percussive sounds, but effects like EQ, reverb and compression are provided for extra sculpting power over the sound. Naturally, the DD635 is the perfect sociable home-rehearsal kit but, due to the included metronome and coach mode, it's actually a great self-teaching tool. For more basic sessions, there's a bank of 80 pre-made kits that can be used to jam along to 80 preset songs.
