If you've only just started your drumming career, you still have to chance to avoid earning the reputation of being annoyingly loud. Neighbours and house mates might not be into drumming as much as you are so, to be able to practice whenever you want, an electronic drum kit wouldn't be such a bad idea. Medeli offer the DD401 kit, which is aimed at fledging drummers who agree with the sentiment above and are looking for an affordable electronic drum kit that doesn't take up more than about four square metres of space.

The Medeli DD401 Electronic Drum Kit

Digital (or electronic) drum kits can be infinitely extensive and include thousands of sounds and drum modules fitted with just as many buttons. To keep you from getting distracted or overwhelmed, the DD401 kit is focused purely on what it's all about: drumming. As such, this user-friendly set comes with 10 preset drum kits and 108 sounds, as well as 30 pre-programmed songs that any beginner can use to play along to and kick-start their career.

Simple yet Complete

All things considered, the Medeli DD401 offers a ton of value of money. It's a complete five-piece kit and includes three cymbals (hi-hat, crash and ride). What's more, it comes with a bass drum that's triggered by the pedal itself instead of a triggerpad that continues to reverberate, meaning that your neighbours will have to try seriously hard if they want to be able to hear the kick drum. Finally, to match the feel of an acoustic kit, the pads and cymbals all have natural rebound.
