General
GEWA's G9 Studio 5 Drum Workstation is a 5-piece professional-level digital drum kit. It was designed in collaboration with TechniSat, Dream, DW Drums and Remo so you can rest assured that every part of it is top notch.
GEWA G9 Drum Workstation
This Studio 5 version comes with the same G9 Drum Workstation as the larger 6-piece versions. Whether you're playing at home, in the studio or on stage, it has virtually everything you'll ever need. There are plenty of connection possibilities on board including WiFi which allows you to access things like GEWA's Electronics Cloud where you can find a huge database of additional sounds. Incidentally, all of the sounds were recorded in Berlin's famous FunkHaus studio. The sounds are fully customisable too thanks to various adjustable parameters and Pro Audio recording tools. The G9 Drum Workstation has an internal memory of 128 GB as well as a flash memory of 4 GB.
DW Drums Studio 5
The Studio 5's cymbal pads are also the same ones that come with the larger G9 versions. That means you get a 14-inch hi-hat, two 14-inch crashes and an 18-inch ride. All of them are based on Paiste's 2002 cymbals and have the same shape and weight for an authentic feel. The drums are different, however, and consist of a 10-inch kick drum pad, a 12-inch floor tom pad, two 10-inch rack tom pads and a 12 x 5-inch snare drum. They were designed by DW Drums as was the rack and stands that are also included. All of the drums are equipped with mesh heads that were made by Remo. Because the sensors are able to detect exactly where you strike the drum or cymbal pad, you're even able to get different sounds from a single pad just like you do on an acoustic drum kit.
