General
There are so many electronic kits out there, it can sometimes be tough to see the woods for the billions of trees. But, if you're simply looking for a solid and complete practice buddy, then you're unlikely to go wrong with the Fazley DDK-080 electronic kit. Designed with beginner drummers in mind, this electronic kit provides all of the components you'll need to get to grips with your first ever beats and rolls. The module packs no less than 329 drum sounds and 15 pre-configured kits to get you started, with a further 10 custom kits that you can put together yourself, 10 songs to play along with, and an adjustable click track to help you tighten up and hone your skills. Since it comes fitted with a 128 by 64 pixel LCD display screen, the module menu can be navigated with ease and clarity, so you can hook up your headphones or some speakers and start drilling those paradiddles.
The Fazley DDK-080 Electronic Drum Kit
The five-piece construction of the DDK-080 is made up of a hi-hat, crash, and ride, each with a 10" diameter and a single-zone trigger; and a snare drum and three toms, each with a 9" diameter and dual zone triggers. Each cymbal pad boasts a choke function, meaning that after you strike a cymbal with your stick, you can dampen the sound with your hand - just like you would with an acoustic cymbal. Two pedals also come included: one for the kick and one for the hi-hat, both of which are fitted with an internal trigger, and the benefit of playing with these kinds of pedal is that they make much less noise since they don't actually 'hit' anything. The snare and toms are just as considerate in terms of noise, as they come finished with mesh-heads, which are not only quieter than standard pads but have a similar rebound response to the heads of an acoustic kit. A collapsible frame also comes as part of the pack to neatly mount the components and built your kit, and once assembled, this electronic kit is compact enough to fit in the corner of the bedroom.

Stevige degelijke constructie, super netjes verpakt, heel gemakkelijk (ook in je eentje) in elkaar te draaien.
Speelt best heel lekker. Fijn dat rimshots op de snare ook mogelijk zijn met een eigen geluid.
Een aantal drumkit geluiden zijn best ok maar verwacht geen professionele super realistische samples. Er zitten iig een aantal drumkitgeluiden bij die zeker voldoende zijn om lekker mee te spelen. Als je toch een upgrade naar professionele klanken wilt hoef je overigens geen nieuw drumstel aan te schaffen maar kun je simpelweg de usb uitgang gebruiken en b.v. een VSTi in je DAW aansturen. Dat is wel heel vet.
De drummodule werkt prima, je kunt van de individuele pads het geluid aanpassen, maar de user interface had wat intuïtiever gemogen, dus de handleiding is dan geen overbodige luxe. Maar na een paar keer doen ook geen probleem meer.
Deze staat in onze living en ook onze kinderen gebruiken deze ze vinden het de Max .

Contra’s
− Randen op de pads zijn zeer luid als je deze perongeluk raakt.
− Cymbalen zijn allemaal single-triggered en hebben geen zones, je kan ze wel choken!
− Losse pedalen als kick en hi-hat, deze schuiven hard en je mist het gevoel van een kick-pad. Door hier de versie met de kick-pad te verkiezen verhoog je het gevoel van een akoestisch drumstel.
− De drummodule is minder intuïtief te bedienen en verslikt zich bij snelle spelstijlen.
Keuze is op deze gevallen omdat ik in het verleden al enkele Fazley producten had gekocht en er telkens best tevreden van was.
Ook de prijs is super voor iemand die net begint.
Het in elkaar steken van de drum heeft wel even geduurd en is wat puzzelen, maar eens hij in elkaar staat staat hij stevig op zn poten.
Het geluid dat de drum produceert door een hoofdtelefoon is in alle geval geweldig, lijkt net een echte drum.
Ikzelf heb er me ook al aan gewaagd om een beetje te proberen drummen, en zonder enige aanpassing (behalve de zithoogte) is het perfect mogelijk om als volwassen persoon ook deze te gebruiken.
Hij neemt niet super veel plek in, wat ook een voordeel is als je wat kleiner woont.
De dochter is in alle geval niet van het ding weg te slaan en zit dagelijks uren te drummen terwijl wij op ons gemakje zonder geluidsoverlast naar televisie kunnen kijken.
