General
While electronic drums offer a number of advantages over acoustic kits, the fact that you normally have to play them with headphones on isn't one of them. To enjoy the sound of your electronic drum kit without headphones, you'll need a drum monitor just like Roland's PM-100.
Roland PM-100 drum monitor for V-Drums
The PM-100 has been fine-tuned for Roland's V-Drums and features a special V-Drums input, but because it's also equipped with stereo jack and mini jack line inputs, it will work with any electronic drums or percussion pads. You can also connect your computer, tablet or smartphone too, of course. The slanted design ensures the speaker aims the sound directly towards you while you're playing so you can enjoy it in all its glory.

Zo hoort het te klinken op een v-drum.
Dit was eigenlijk niet mijn eerste keuze na wat onderzoek op internet gedaan te hebben i.v.m. de prijs, maar gelukkig mocht ik deze en twee andere fysiek testen in de winkel waarbij ik erg goed ben geholpen door de medewerker. Na het uittesten was het voor mij duidelijk, deze is qua geluid veel beter dan de iets goedkopere varianten in zijn prijsklasse. Erg blij mee.
Zeer goed geluid. En in een ruimte van 2,5 bij 3,5 meter ruimschoots voldoende volume. Met volume van de drums op 50% en het volume van de Roland op 50% is hetr vergelijkbaar met het volume van een acoustisch drumstel.
De uitgang van de ATV zit gewoon op de V-drums ingang welke een stereo 6,25 jack ingang is.
Als je niet altijd je koptelefoon op wil en af en toe eens lekker los is dit een goede investering.
