General

The beautiful Yamaha LL16 ARE is cut from the right stuff, with high-quality all-solid wood to make up its original jumbo body, and a classy Brown Sunburst finish. The original jumbo body type is known for its excellent dynamic range, loud volume capabilities and wonderful balance. The revamped design of the LL line offers you a fantastic instrument for in a band, and is also great for soloists. Lovely details such as the abalone rosette and position markers, the tortoise pickguard and the gold-plated tuners make this sophisticated guitar complete.

Yamaha LL16 ARE: Engelmann

The top is one of the most important factors in determining the sound quality of an acoustic guitar, and the top of the LL16 ARE offers excellent quality with plenty of brightness and clarity. The wood character, with its fine wood grain, resonates powerfully and is accompanied with rosewood sides and back for added balance. The neck is made of mahogany and rosewood, and is equipped with a sleek 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Thanks to the passive SRT Zero Impact pickup system, this guitar can easily be amplified for studio and live applications.

Acoustic Resonance Enhancement

Yamaha added a big dose of technology to the development of the LL16-12. By way of Acoustic Resonance Enhancement, a new piece of Engelmann spruce was enhanced to take on the superior sound characteristics of vintage wood. The ARE process involves mixing up a precise cocktail of temperature, air pressure and moisture in order to change the molecular makeup of the wood. This means that the LL16 ARE comes out of the box with the full, rich tone of a vintage guitar, that you'd typically have to wait for years to develop. This outstanding Yamaha has a great sound, excellent playability, and comes with a soft case.
