The Yamaha APX700II is a comfortable electro-acoustic western guitar that produces a full, clear sound whether played acoustically or amplified. This steel-string guitar is equipped with a System64 preamplifier, a built-in tuner and 3-band EQ so you have precise control over your tone colour. The cutaway ensures that you can easily reach the highest of the 23 frets. The APX700II can also be proud of its appearance, as the reliable Yamaha has given it a beautiful black high-gloss body with sleek bindings. A quality instrument that any advanced guitarist would be pleased with!

The solid top of the APX700II

The most important factor in the sound of an acoustic guitar is the top. Yamaha chose to use spruce for the top of the APX-700II, which produces a balanced sound that is also powerful, thanks to its solid construction. The sides and back of the body are made of nato, which adds warm yet clear tones to the mix. The typical APX construction with an oval sound hole works to bring a full sound to the mid-tones.

The Electronics

Connect the APX700II to an acoustic guitar amp or PA system and you'll hear right away how clear, balanced and above all organic the amplified sound is. This western guitar has its advanced ART system to thank for that, which picks up the sound from the body instead of the strings, resulting in a dynamic tone colour reproduced from the original acoustic sound in detail.
