General

Yamaha seems to have made a sport of producing instruments with unmatched price-to-quality ratios, and we're seeing it again in their assortment of electro-acoustic western guitars. Anyone who's looking for a reliable, handy, beautifully-finished and excellent-sounding stage guitar would do well to spend some time checking out an APX500 model. This Yamaha APX500III features a warm Vintage Sunburst finish, and exceeds its predecessor (the APX500II) in both looks and hardware.

The sound of the APX500III Vintage Sunburst

The APX500 is such a successful model because it is made with care to offer an impressive sound with a good price to beginners and advanced guitarists. The construction of this model features the compact triple-O size with an eight to nine centimetre spruce top, to produce a remarkably clear, direct timbre. The smaller size of this guitar isn't only great for its sound, but it also makes it more comfortable to hold and play.Richer mids and tighter bass tones are also added to the mix thanks to the APX sound hole, with a special 3D sound hole rosette.

A live guitar

The comfortable playability of the Yamaha APX500III Vintage Sunburst isn't the only thing that makes it a fantastic stage instrument. It also has an improved pickup system. The pickup of the III version of the APX500 is more sensitive than ever, and can offer a clearly defined difference in dynamics. In order to adjust the amplified sound via your amplifier, mixing console or audio interface, the System 66 preamp takes care of the preamplification. It features controls for adjusting the timbre of your music, and it makes tuning a piece of cake, with an integrated tuning device.
