General
The GD30CE-12NAT is a twelve-string western guitar worthy of every stage, as it's equipped with built-in electronics, making it ideal for acoustic as well as electric use. This is perfect for recordings and live gigs. What's more, this steel-string guitar has a cutaway, making it easier to reach the highest notes. The GD30CE-12 Cutaway Electric has a solid top-construction in order to get a rich sound and excellent resonance.
Takamine GD30CE-12: Made from the Right Stuff
The Takamine GD30CE-12 produces a full, warm sound. This isn't only due to the spacious sound of the twelve strings, but the mahogany sides and back of the body also greatly contribute to that sound. The slender mahogany neck and 20-fret rosewood fretboard with a 12-inch radius offer a comfortable feel and great playability. The GD30CE-12 isn't decorated with any unnecessary frills but it does feature a number of tasteful details such as a pearloid rosette and position markers. It has a two-piece bridge for optimal intonation and purity of tones.
TP-4TD Preamp with Built-In Tuner
The electronic heart of the GD30CE-12 is formed by Takamine's TP-4TD preamplifier. This preamp features a large volume knob (gain) and a 3-band shelving EQ with Bass, Middle and Treble. It also has an auto-chromatic tuner with LED display on board so that you can keep your twelve strings in tune on the darkest of stages. The preamp is powered by a 9V battery that is easy to replace thanks to the practical cap. A lamp indicates when the battery needs to be replaced.

Gitaar is een aanrader voor keuze 12-snarig, goede verhouding prijs en kwaliteit.
1 ster minder... omdat ik uiteindelijk een paar maanden heb moeten wachten op de levering.
Na een maand ben ik nog steeds heel tevreden, de prijs/kwaliteit is prima, het klankspectrum is goed verdeeld, de afstelling was out of the box goed. Sommigen raden aan om een 12-snarige akoestische gitaar een toontje lager te stemmen vanwege bespeelbaarheid en levensduur. Ik heb dat bij deze even geprobeerd maar de normale spanning is qua klank gewoon beter en de bespeelbaarheid is in de normale setting ook prima.
Het stemmen van 12 snarige gitaren kan wel eens problematisch zijn maar bij deze is dat niet het geval. Het stemmen gaat soepeltjes en de stemming heeft een goede houdbaarheid.
Sommige 12-snarige gitaren hebben een smallere nek, maar zo'n smalle nek moet je niet willen als je allerlei open akkoorden met rifs wilt spelen, iets wat juist zo mooi is bij een 12-string.
Ik heb veel plezier van deze gitaar, de klank is iedere keer weer verrassend mooi.
Een minpuntje is dat er stofjes zitten in de lak op de nek. Daar kan ik nog wel iets aan doen en voor de prijs is deze gitaar perfect, een aanrader. 5 sterren +.
Verder is mijn commentaar is dubbelzinnig :
Bij levering is er dus echt aandacht besteed aan deze gitaar, mijn complimenten aan Bax. Direct bespeelbaar, geen kerkorgel, maar direct te bespelen zonder krampen in de vingers en/of pols, ik hoefde niet eens te stemmen ! Toch maar even stemmen ? Er zit zelfs een stemapparaatje op en alle info en items om de gitaar verder zelf af te stellen zaten bij de levering inbegrepen. Top (!). Extra tip en bijzonderheid bij Takamine gitaren : Men kan plaatjes die onder de brugkam verstopt zitten makkelijk verwijderen en terugplaatsen waarmee je de snaren nog iets naar beneden kunt stellen. Hals kaarsrecht, maar dat was ie dus al. De intonatie is prima gebleven , geen gebuzz en speelt nu als een gewone 6 snarige, m.a.w. ongebruikelijk maar ik kan er ook op soleren. Takamine weet hoe ze gitaren moeten bouwen en Bax weet hoe ze gitaren moeten leveren. De kwaliteit en de geleverde conditie van de gitaar ben ik nog nooit eerder tegengekomen in geen enkele andere real-life muziekwinkel.
Off topic : Al eerder een basgitaar besteld, en was ook in uitstekende conditie ( direct uit de doos te bespelen en slappen zeer fijn, deze wil ik niet eens meer afstellen ! ), m.a.w. ik ben dankbaar dat Bax aandacht heeft besteed aan deze instrumenten. Dikke duim !

Je moet even wennen aan de kleinere ruimte tussen de snaren als je een loopje speelt, maar ja met 12 snaren op een hals die maar iets breder is dan die van een 6-snarige is dat logisch.
Ik ben er blij mee. Mijn vrouw minder want het is gitaar nummer 5 die in de woonkamer hangt of staat :-)
