General
While looking at the specifications might lead you to believe the Ibanez AE275 doesn't fall within affordable reach, it's actually surprisingly inexpensive. A solid sitka spruce top, an okoume back and sides, and a nyatoh neck combine with the specially-designed X-M bracing to give this electro-acoustic steel-string guitar its soft-hearted sound made up of full, tight lows, transparent mids and bright highs. Excellent strumming response gives way to an enormous dynamic range for expressive playing styles, while the magnetic AP11 pickup and preamp with tone controls faithfully amplify your playing. Also, it wouldn't be a genuine Ibanez-built guitar if the playability wasn't up to par, so this is well taken care of by a rounded katalox fretboard and a neck with a comfortable grip. What's more, the AE-style body and a cutaway provide easy access to the higher frets and complete and decked-out guitar that comes at a remarkably fine price.
