While the D-260E Deluxe is a proud part of Guild's Westerly Series and takes you back to the '60s heydays of the brand's legendary factory located in Rhode Island, this dreadnought has actually remained perfectly affordable for beginners and more advanced guitarists looking to take the next step. This electro-acoustic steel-string produces a grand foundation sound shaped by the solid Sitka spruce top and, since there are no cutaways to be found on this model, you won't have to make any compromises when it comes to your acoustic resonance.
The D-260E Westerly Deluxe: Special Wood and Preamp
There's a logical reason as to why this particular example bears the Guild Deluxe label and it's to do with the striped ebony used for the back and sides. These aid in tightening up the low frequencies and in retaining bright highs, while this acoustic tone is accurately captured and amplified by the Fishman Sonicore piezo pickup fitted alongside a matching AP1 preamp. Specially-developed for the Westerly Series, these premium electronics shape a sound that's as Deluxe as the rest of this stunning guitar.
