General

For this Master's Choice model, Czech guitar builders, Furch have selected sublime, master-grade woods resulting in an undeniably stunning example of a grand auditorium electro-acoustic. The Furch Red Gc-SR SP literally drips with elegant, subtle detailing, like the complex fretboard inlay work; the fine slice of ziricote that finishes the head; the koa soundhole rosette: and the purfling and binding that frames the body. Besides bearing an all-solid construction, this model boasts Furch's very own CNR truss rod system to provide extra stability and accommodate a detailed and fully personalised set-up for ultimate playability.

The Furch Red Gc-SR SP: Masterful Construction

The Red comes topped with a solid slice of Sitka spruce; the back and sides have been shaped from solid Indian rosewood; and the African mahogany neck has been set in. The soundboard and back have been specially voiced to result in a sound-box capable of an astounding, life-packed response framed by a rich, bright, light and sweet tonal character. The ziricote fretboard and bridge finish the sound profile off with balance and warmth, and the entire instrument has been coated in a high-gloss full-pore finish, while the back of the neck has been given a butter-smooth coat of satin-gloss.

The LR Baggs Stage Pro Anthem Preamp

A model as exacting as this grand auditorium only deserves a high-spec preamp like the LR Baggs Stage Pro Anthem. This incredibly detailed and accurate system is made up of a piezo pickup that's been discreetly tucked beneath the GraphTech TUSQ saddle and a microphone mounted inside the resonance box. Combined, they capture a complete sonic picture that can be mixed and tweaked as needed via two-band EQ and notch controls and a phase switch. The Furch Red Gc-SR SP electro-acoustic comes complete with a Hiscox case.
