If you're more familiar with the neck of a Strat than an acoustic guitar, Fender's Redondo Player offers a smooth and affordable transition, a unique look, and a rich acoustic sound. Straight out of the California Series, this electro-acoustic, steel-string model has a trend-bucking paint-job and a C-profile maple neck, walnut fretboard and a Strat headstock for a supple electric-guitar-style playing feel.
Redondo Player: Wood and Resonance
The mahogany dreadnought body has been topped with solid spruce to shape full and defined sound, while a GraphTech-made NuBone saddle and nut guarantee excellent tonal balance by retaining high-end presence and low-end warmth and openness. To amplify the sound of the Redondo Player with consistent accuracy, Fender have fitted a Fishman preamp and under-saddle piezo pickup complete with a set of tone controls to dial in the on-stage sound.

The neck has a natural finish that contrasts beautifully with the rest of the body. If you want one, you'll have to be quick though, because only 68 of these have been made!
