General
Since it's a touch smaller than a dreadnought, the 000 acoustic body shape is a guitarist favourite. Here, Fender fit it with a Strat-style C-profile neck complete with 6-in-line headstock and call it the Newporter Special. The flatter 15.75-inch radius of the pau ferro fretboard further supports the snug playing comfort this electro-acoustic has to offer by accommodating supple note bends and fast riffs. The classic Fender headstock and linear machine heads are certainly a little alien to an acoustic model but don't just look pretty - they're what give this guitar its enhanced tuning stability.
Newporter Special: solid woods, great sound
The mahogany neck is bound to a body built by a solid mahogany top, sides, and back, shaping immense resonance and a deliciously warm acoustic sound with a broad dynamic range. The transparent tone is framed by the kind of light warmth needed for both finger and plectrum style playing, and to faithfully amplify this balance, a Fishman-Fender developed preamp has been installed and specifically calibrated according to the shape of the Newporter, giving it a pure and natural on stage sound.

Het tuning element is erg handig en makkelijk te gebruiken. Ook door de versterker is het geluid ontzettend mooi.
Het fijnste is nog wel de verstelbare nek die handig aan te passen is aan je eigen speelstijl. De gig bag die wordt bijgeleverd is mooi stevig en beschermd goed. Daarbij heeft de tas een dikke beschermlaag, met een neksteun aan de binnenkant en 2 draagopties. Je gitaar is daardoor goed beschermt!
Over het algemeen een prijzige gitaar, maar zeker het geld waard naar mijn mening.
