If you're looking for a good guitar for learning how to play or you want to add a nice model to your collection, Fender offers this CD-140SCE from their Classic Design series. It's a high-quality, affordable electro-acoustic guitar with a built-in pickup for amplification. It has ovangkol back and sides that ensure strong sound projection and a solid mahogany top that gives the overall tone extra definition. The mahogany neck and walnut fretboard on this guitar complete the tonal palette and offer a gorgeous balanced sound. A special detail is the string nut, which is made of Graph Tech Nubone.

Fender & Fishman

Fender has equipped this guitar with their special Easy-to-Play neck with rolled fretboard edges, which adds to the overall playing comfort of this accessible Dreadnought. You'll have plenty of volume to work with when playing this guitar at home, but if you use it for a live performance, it's handy to be able to amplify it. For this reason, Fender equipped it with a Fishman CD Preamp system that has a 2-band EQ and a built-in tuner. No matter where you are, you can be assured of a top-quality amplified sound. What's more, the Fender Classic Design CD-140SCE Natural Dreadnought comes complete with a case, which means it's ready to take with you on the road!

Wrote the following about Fender Classic Design CD-140SCE Natural with Case

Na meer dan 30 jaar op een Celebrity (by Ovation) gespeeld te hebben wil ik een andere akoestische-elektrisch gitaar kopen. Ik heb voorgenomen om niet al te veel uit te geven. De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding van deze CD-140SCE Natural incl. koffer is prima. Het is gemaakt in Indonesië. De bouwkwaliteit is goed te noemen voor deze prijs. De fretboard was heel droog. Ik heb het direct met fretboard-olie behandeld. De snaren aan de brug (nut) waren veel te hoog, dus heb ik de brug gelijk lager gevijld en ook nieuwe set lichtere 0,011 snaren erop gezet. Aan de kam (op de klankkast) is de hoogte van de snaren prima. De hals is lekker dun, dus goed bespeelbaar. Een aantal frets vanaf de 12de frets waren nog nadrukkelijk voelbaar. Voor deze prijs moet je niet verwachten dat de frets perfect gelijkmatig hoog zijn. Qua klank komt het niet in de buurt van mij Celebrity. Mijn ervaring leert dat een akoestische gitaar (eigenlijk voor alle houten muziekinstrumenten) tijd nodig heeft om geleidelijk beter te klinken. Ik ben benieuwd hoe het dan klink na een jaar of langer erop gespeeld te hebben.

Ik heb deze gitaar met korting gekocht! Hierdoor was de prijs voor mij te doen ;) Ik ben heel erg blij met de kwaliteit van de gitaar en koffer. Het versterken werkt ook super! Ik ben erg enthousiast en ik heb nu meer zin om nog meer te oefenen! Topppieeeee!
