The Fender CD-140SCE is an electro-acoustic steel-string guitar with a single cutaway and a glossy black finish. Its dreadnought model body has a solid spruce top, while the sides and back are made of mahogany. The CD-140SCE also features a 20-fret rosewood fretboard and the Fishman Presys pickup system with an active preamp and a built-in tuner.

Wrote the following about Fender CD-140SCE electro-acoustic steel-string guitar black

Nadat de lijm van de bridge op mijn oude goedkope gitaar het begeven had, en wegens de spanning van de snaren de helft van het gelamineerde bovenblad werd geruïneerd, was het tijd voor een nieuwe gitaar. Deze keer geen cheap one, zeker een solid top -dat klinkt ook zo veel voller- en ook een output om toch gemakkelijk te kunnen recorden. En binnen een aanvaardbaar budget. Na lang zoeken (en de CD-60 al eens live had getest) kwam ik uit op deze gitaar.
Ik had wel nog nooit een gitaar online gekocht, en aangezien ik mijn gitaren zo liefdevol behandel (mijn vriendin wordt er jaloers van :), was ik toch wat bezorgd of een akoestische de postbezorging wel zou overleven. Na levering werd duidelijk dat ik me nergens zorgen over hoefde maken. De nieuwe aanwinst zat verpakt in 3 dozen, met genoeg luchtkussens om een nieuwe matras mee te maken.
Na het vele uitpakken en kussentjes ploffen had ik eindelijk de gitaar in m'n handen, snel effe gestemd met de ingebouwde tuner, en ik ben sindsdien nog niet gestopt met spelen. De klank is fenomenaal, met volle bassen en heldere high strings, en gemakkelijk bij te stellen indien je versterkt speelt.
Het enige raadsel blijft de bijgeleverde inbus sleutel die nergens op past :)
