The unique sound of the electro-acoustic Cort GA5F-BW comes at a surprising price considering its exceptional build quality. The grand auditorium body shape frames a prominent, optimised midrange that compliments finger picking as well as strumming while the Australian blackwood back and sides combine with the solid cedar top to give the overall voice warmth and fullness before it's amplified with distinct clarity by the integrated preamplifier.

Omdat ik best grote handen heb had ik ook nog een Cort L550LW met een topkambreedte van 48 mm gereserveerd, om eens te voelen hoe dat speelt. Die heb ik snel opzij gelegd, was niets voor mij.
Ook een Ibanez met volledig okoume klankkast had ik gereserveerd vanwege zijn vermeende warme geluid. Dat haalde het bij lange na niet bij de GA5F-BW.
Ook ter plekke in Rotterdam een Cort A6 Gold gespeeld vanwege zijn vintage behandeling van de solid sparren houten top. Een prachtige gitaar maar had zeker niet het warme geluid van de GA5F-BW.
En zo is deze review toch nog een heel verhaal geworden.
Ik hoop dat de mensen die zich oriënteren er wat aan hebben.
Wat ik vooral makkelijk vindt bij Bax Music is dat je een paar gitaren kunt reserveren en als alles binnen is je ze kunt uitproberen. Daar maak je pas je keuze.
Tip van mij: koop nooit een gitaar zonder er eerst op gespeeld te hebben. Dan weet je hoe die voelt en kun je het geluid beoordelen. De beschrijvingen op internet zijn een benadering en komen soms niet overeen met de beschreven verwachtingen.
Nog een tip: check altijd de specificaties op de officiële site van het merk gitaar van je keuze. Waar ik tegenaan liep is dat de gegevens op de sites van de winkels niet altijd kloppen.
Dat was het. Iedereen succes met het maken van je keuze.
