General

A guitar virtuoso and skilled multi-instrumentalist like John Jorgenson naturally needs a superbly playable and extremely versatile guitar. With the JJ325SRC Signature, Takamine definitely meets John's needs. This electro-acoustic steel-string features a solid spruce soundboard supported by a bubinga back and sides, which not only sounds great but looks amazing. The mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard only add more rich sonic layers to the sound, while the dreadnought-sized body ensures masses of volume and powerful lows. Finished with attention to detail as well as with optimum playability in mind, this Japanese-made model looks as good as it sounds and lays nothing in the way of more technical licks. It also comes complete with a guitar case.

Palathetic Pickup and CT4B II Preamp

While most electro-acoustics are equipped with a piezo pickup, this Takamine Signature Series model boasts a Palathetic undersaddle pickup: a special version that comes fitted with six individually shielded, piezo-electric elements that are in direct contact with the saddle via the soundboard and bridge plate for optimised resonance transfer. As a result, you're getting a broad-and-organic amplified sound that can be dialled in as needed thanks to the tone controls of the CT4B II preamp.
