General

The Guild OM-240CE Natural Westerly electro-acoustic features an Orchestra body shape complete with a deep cutaway to ease fret-reach and a comfortably arched back to support fully defined, full-range tone and bigger volume and projection. The soundboard has been hewn from solid Canadian Sitka spruce: a light-coloured yet high-density tonewood that completes a traditionally rich yet sparkling foundation sound, and to add warm and woody accents, both the back and sides have been made from mahogany.

The Guild OM-240CE: Big Sound

The arched back is a throwback to the models Guild was building back in the fifties, and here, has been added to compensate for the loss of lower frequencies that comes with the tighter dimensions of an OM shaped body. This doesn't just result in increased acoustic volume and projection but balances the overall sound. All of this is then faithfully picked up and translated by the integrated Fishman Sonitone GT-1 preamp and piezo pickup system, so the Guild OM-240CE electro-acoustic guitar can be plugged straight into an acoustic amplifier or PA system.

The Guild Westerly Collection

Guild have been building high-quality instruments since 1953, and their acoustic guitars hark back to earlier, vintage models. Each of the steel-string guitars in their Westerly series feature solid woods and are equipped with a number of tasteful, luxurious details. What's more, the headstock is adorned with a traditional pearloid Guild emblem inlay and all of the guitars feature a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard. The Westerly series offers high-grade acoustic instruments at attainable prices.
