The Gretsch Deltoluxe Dreadnought is essentially an oversized Jim Dandy-style flat top with strands of DNA from old Rex guitars that were sold back in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. A product of the 21st century, the Deltoluxe Dreadnought naturally offers modern playing comfort and build quality combined with the warm-and-rounded sound of a sapele body and the convenience of a magnetic soundhole pickup system that allows you to plug in on stage.

This guitar is absolutely phenomenal for the price. I bought it for slide, and I will say I needed to raise the action ever so slightly but after that, it was PERFECT. If I was to use this out of the box for non-slide playing, it would have been 100% spot on. Great service from Bax, couldn’t be any happier!

Recorded with this guitar after unboxed, tuned up, plugged in! A very chiming bright tone, notes well defined. Recorded flat and with processor. Great clear sound allowing easy modelling. Neck is comfortable, string tension also. Barre chords fine up to D at 10th. Finish clean. Plectrum and finger style fine, amped or not. Great value.

The guitar sounds really loud, even unplugged. Very comfortable. It's perfect for slide and for old acoustic vibe, that Gretsch typical sound. Perfect also for blues. The mic sounds awesome with a tremolo-reberb-vibrato pedal. And the colour black gives a fantastic look.
