General

Fender have given one of their more underground classics the full Acoustasonic treatment. Made famous by the likes of Sonic Youth as well as Elvis Costello, the iconic Jazzmaster has helped to define entire guitar-based genres. Mounted with the newly-developed Acoustasonic Shawbucker and given a fresh set of voicings, the Acoustasonic Jazzmaster has a slightly larger body than previous Acoustasonic-remakes and bears the same, uncompromising offset body as the fully-electric original. The American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster

While the mounted Shawbucker is the most obvious pickup, the Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster is actually amplified by three different pickups that can be isolated or combined to shape an immense sonic range. A piezo has been fitted beneath the bridge while a sensor has been tucked away inside the body to capture the full and natural acoustic resonance, and the Tim Shaw designed humbucker brings the beef of a clearly defined low-end alongside fierce output. Tweak the configuration with the Mod pot and 5-way switch to toggle through ten entirely different foundation sounds, each packed with their own special flavour. It's also worth noting that, compared to the standard version, this All-Mahogany model offers extra warm mids and extra-balanced trebles.

Supreme Playing Comfort

Whether your usual weapon of choice is electric or acoustic, this model will feel instantly familiar in your hands. The mahogany neck has a comfy C-profile finished with satin-gloss for a fast feel, and the ebony fretboard has been given a modern 12 inch radius and loaded with a set of 22 narrow-tall frets. The fully-mahogany body also comes coated in satin gloss for a more subtle and stylishly muted vibe and has been finished with graceful bevelling for a reassuringly snug playing feel, completing a more than worthy Acoustasonic incarnation of the legendary Jazzmaster.

Fantastique guitare !
J'étais un peu sceptique avant la réception de la guitare...mais dés les premières notes, tous mes doutes se sont dissipés : INCROYABLE guitare ! Fender a tapé fort. Un parfait mix entre une guitare acoustique et une guitare électrique. Honnêtement, le guitariste de 50 ans que je suis et qui a déjà 35 ans de pratique derrière lui, avec différents instruments est bluffé ! Aussi bien les sons acoustiques simulés, que le piezo et shawbucker...tout est très intéressant, et d'autant plus cette capacité à pouvoir "blender" les sons. Par curiosité, j'ai également testé la guitare avec des cordes électriques (10-46). Là aussi, bluffant. Ça marche du tonnerre et également directement branché sur un ampli électrique. Meme en mode "unplugged", ça sonne, ça vibre suffisamment pour ce faire plaisir !
Attention : pour ceux qui cherchent une acoustique "pure et dure" ou électrique Jazzmaster, passez votre chemin. On est vraiment ici, dans un nouveau territoire, des sons particuliers. Tout un nouvel univers à créer !
Pas étonnant qu'un certain Jack White l'ai adoptée.
En conclusion : ceux qui veulent explorer et révisiter le son de demain, foncez !

P.S : juste pour préciser, j'ai dû malgré tout faire quelques réglages à la réception de la guitare...car un élément coté carte PCB venait en résonance avec la caisse et certaines cordes à vides. Après, un petit "artifice", le défaut sonore a disparu.
