General

Just like all Spanish guitars from Yamaha's NTX range, the NTX1200R electro-acoustic Classical guitar has a slender neck and thin body for a very comfortable feel. Thanks to the cutaway, you can reach the 22nd fret of this nylon-string guitar with ease. The Yamaha NTX1200R is suitable for classical, jazz, pop or Latin music.

NTX1200R: Solid body parts

The top is the most important factor in a guitar's construction when it comes to tone. The NTX1200R has a solid spruce top for a strong resonance, resulting in a full, powerful sound. Other parts of this guitar are made of solid African mahogany, which gives the tone depth and warmth while keeping the high tones intact. This guitar has also been treated with Yamaha's special A.R.E. wood-enhancement technology, which results in a mature, seasoned sound.

The System 61 preamp

Amplifying the NTX1200R is done by means of two pickups and a preamp. The advanced A.R.T. system picks the sound up directly from the top to ensure the most authentic, acoustic sound possible. The sound is not likely to distort because the pickups are designed to handle abrupt dynamic changes. You can adjust the overall sound with the 3-band equalizer and with the 2 way system, you can alter the volume and bass/treble strings separately! Finally, the System61 preamp has a tuner built in so you can always make sure your instrument is in tune and ready to go.
