In 2015, Yamaha launched their Revstar Series with six models in every imaginable price range. The RS720 B is every-bit the high-grade Revstar and comes mounted with high-quality hardware and wrapped in a steel-wool distressed muted black finish. Two Tron-style pickups are mounted on the maple top and ensure the full-on, rich tone you would only expect while a Bigsby B5 vibrato unit retains tuning no matter how wild the bend, thanks to the fitted set of solid Yamaha locking tuners.

The RS720: Tron-style Pickups

Yamaha made sure to equip this guitar with legendary pickups from the past to maintain its vintage look and sound. These very special humbuckers feature a much larger alnico magnet, larger poles and significantly less copper windings. The result is a higher-output pickup than a single-coil and much less high-frequency loss than a standard humbucker. In short, you've got more power and a stronger bite.

Yamaha's Revstar series is a completely revamped line of guitars that combine vintage sound and looks with the perks of modern technology. Since the RS720B has been developed to be one of the top models from the series, the mahogany body has been adorned with a few luxurious features. A dry switch enhances the high-end without dampening other frequencies, as often happens with a standard tone control and last but not least, the RS720B comes complete with a matching Yamaha gig bag.
