In 2015, Yamaha launched their Revstar series with six models in every price category imaginable. This RS720 B is one of the high-end variations from that series with top-notch hardware and a very special finish. The flamed maple top of this denim-blue guitar was treated with steel wool to give it an authentic aged, weathered look. Two Filtertron-style pickups deliver a rich, full sound and the Bigsby B5 vibrato unit with tuning stability guaranteed by the solid Yamaha Locking Tuners.

Yamaha made sure to equip this guitar with legendary pickups from the past to maintain its vintage look and sound. The pickups are humbuckers but feature a much larger alnico magnet, larger pole pieces and significantly less copper windings. The result is a higher-output pickup than a single-coil and not as much loss in the high frequencies as a standard humbucker. In short, you've got more power and a stronger bite! This rugged pickup configuration and the accompanying Bigsby vibrato unit make for a match made in heaven!

Yamaha's Revstar series is a completely revamped line of guitars that combine vintage sound and looks with the perks of modern technology. This RS720B in Vintage Japanese Denim is one of the top models from the series with a mahogany body and elegant flamed maple top.
