Meet the 2013 Yamaha Pacifica 611VFM, the Translucent Black tremolo edition of the prized 611HFM. This high-quality instrument was developed with an eye for versatility and usability. With its humbucker and P90 pickups it's incredibly versatile and suited for a number of music styles from blues to classic and hard rock. Although the Pacifica 611VFM is equipped with diverse luxury options such as the eye-catching flamed maple top and headstock, it has remained affordable for the hard-working guitarist.
High-end characteristics of the Yamaha Pacifica 611VFM
The Pacifica 611VFM has its SP90-1N Soapbar single-coil neck pickup and high-output Custom 5 humbucker in the bridge position to thank for its incredible versatility. You can also use a push/pull switch to make the bridge pickup function as a bright and twangy single-coil. The body of the Pacifica 611VFM is fashioned from lightweight elm and the screwed alder neck is equipped with a 22-fret rosewood fretboard. Thanks to the Grover locking tuners and the self-lubricating string tree and nut by Graph Tech, the guitar stays in optimal tuning even when you go wild with the Wilkinson tremolo bridge.

Cons: niets !
Het is een cliché, maar deze gitaar voelt en klinkt echt als een veel duurder exemplaar. Het is een allegaartje van de beste componenten: Seymour Duncan pickups, een hele goede en prettig aanvoelende Wilkinson brug, Tusq onderdelen en prima Grover tuners. Moest wel heel even wennen aan de tuners, maar zijn echt super dingen. De palissander toets is echt prettig om te spelen. Moeilijke licks als Thunderstruck zijn makkelijker te spelen.
De translucent black is in feit een heel gave blauwe flame. Echt mooi om te zien.
Ik was altijd een meer vintage Fender Stratocaster man, maar wilde een gitaar met hetzelfde comfort maar een wat ruigere sound. Die heb ik nu gevonden! Heb zelf zijn goedkopere broertje 311H ook gelijk besteld als backup.
