Characteristics of the Yamaha Pacifica 120H BL

Despite its low price, the Yamaha Pacifica 120H is equipped with a number of high-quality features. The body is made of solid alder, which gives the guitar a balanced sound with tight lows, rich mids and crystal-clear highs. The neck is fashioned from maple and features a 22-fret rosewood fretboard, the radius of which is almost 14 inches, making it incredibly smooth and perfect for shredding. And really, that's what this Pacifica 120H is made for, which only becomes clearer with its two humbucker pickups which use Alnico 5 magnets for a warm, defined rock sound.

Hardtail bridge and Coil Tap function

The Yamaha Pacifica 120H has a hardtail bridge, which is fixed bridge with six adjustable saddles for optimal intonation. The strings are attached from the back of the body, giving your sound more sustain and attack. The Yamaha Pacifica 120H's electronics include volume and tone buttons plus a 3-way EQ switch that gives you the option to choose from the bright, clear bridge humbucker, the warm neck humbucker, or a combination thereof. Pull the tone button to split the humbuckers from double to single coil. This Coil Tap function gives you a clear, sparkling single-coil sound, which is ideal for playing clean, funky riffs.
