The Yamaha Pacifica 112V in Yellow Natural Satin has kept its natural look and features a chic matte lacquer, so you can really enjoy the beauty of the alder body. The 112 V may resemble the 112 J, but this model has been upgraded with a set of Alnico V pickups for a rich vintage sound. Enjoy versatile tones as the single-coils produce a sparkling twang, while the humbucker by the bridge is perfect for rougher work. The tone control has been implemented as a push/pull button which splits the humbucker into a single-coil, which offers you added versatility.
Body and neck of the Yamaha Pacifica 112V SB
The Pacifica 112V has an alder body, which is quite unique for guitars in this price class. Alder is a popular wood type because of its light weight and full tone, known for producing outstanding balance between lows, mids and highs. The mid-high is slightly more outspoken, giving this guitar a clear sound that really sings out. Yamaha is known for their flawless neck finishes, making the Pacifica 112V especially easy for both beginner and advanced guitarists to play.
Tremolo bridge and ring-mount humbucker
The bridge of the Yamaha Pacifica 112V is a vintage-style tremolo, and it lets you create excellent vibrato effects by tightening and letting go of the string tension when you use the included handle. The solid saddles ensures a rich sustain and deep intonation, and just like the high-end Pacifica models, there is a bridge pickup mounted on the body via a black mounting ring. The mounting ring helps pick up more vibrations from the body, which in turn creates a more dynamic tone than when mounted in the pickguard.

Ik heb er lekker op gespeeld, het enige minpuntje vond ik misschien dat de brug humbucker een stuk luider was dan de single coil pickups en ik houd ervan om tussen de pickups te wisselen in een solo, dat maakte dat wel wat lastiger.
Maar ik denk een afweging of je de steviger crunch wilt van een humbucker toevoeging, of liever voor alleen single coils gaat zoals op andere strats.
Ik heb in het verleden gitaren van drie/vier keer de prijs van deze gitaar gehad die niet kunnen tippen aan deze gitaar.
Samenvattend, een aanrader.
Speelt zeer licht en comfortabel.
De split coil functie op de humbucker was de extra die mij deze deed kiezen boven een mexican fender strat. Nog geen seconde spijt van.
Hierdoor is dit een zeer veelzijdige gitaar met het cleane en het heavy geluid, alles is mogelijk.
Heb deze (en massa's andere gitaren) zelf gaan testen in Goes. Bedankt aan Han voor de goede raadgevingen, steeds met de glimlach.
Zelf ben ik niet zo van de kleurtjes dus deze gitaar was een uitkomst.
De gitaar speelt heerlijk. Snaren drukken makkelijk op de toets, dus grepen zijn eenvoudig te vinden.
Het geluid is mooi en hierbij heb je 5 mogelijkheden voor de pick-up combinaties. De humbucker en de single-coils lijken mij in ieder geval van goede kwaliteit.
De prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding is meer dan goed. Je hebt voor dit geld een mooie, degelijke electrische gitaar met een mooie sound. (Nu nog zo'n zelfde uitvoering als telecaster .... ;) )
Helaas was bij mijn gitaar bij ontvangst de slagplaat al beschadigd. In overleg met de helpdesk kon ik deze terugsturen en zou ik een nieuwe gitaar toegezonden krijgen. De levertijd was toen helaas 26 weken.
Inmiddels heb ik mijn geld terug gekregen van BAX en deze gitaar heb ik nu via een andere winkel verkregen.
Over de service van BAX : gewoon top, doorgaans snelle levering, goede helpdesk en after sales.
In de toekomst bestel ik gewoon mijn spulletjes weer bij BAX, ook eventuele vervolg gitaren !.
Door het eenvoudige filtersysteem op de Bax-shop site (waarvoor proficiat), kon ik zeer gericht gaan kiezen en kwam ik al snel bij deze Yamaha Pacific uit. De productvideo nam mijn laatste twijfels weg.
Sindsdien heb ik mij mijn keuze nog geen dag beklaagd. De gitaar ligt goed in de hand en de overstap van een brede naar een smalle hals ging als vanzelf.
Door de uitstraling van de naturel houten body met de mooie nerfstructuur, aangevuld met de verchroomde metalen onderdelen, is dit niet enkel een instrument maar een "design" meubelstuk dat op een gitaarsteun staat te pronken in onze woonkamer.
Telkens ik voorbij deze gitaar loop, kan ik het niet laten ze even vast te nemen en er enkele akkoorden op te spelen en daar gaat het tenslotte toch om, oefenen, oefenen en nog eens oefenen.
Wanneer je een gitaar kiest, moet je iets kiezen dat ogenblikkelijk je hart verovert. Dit was bij mij met deze Yamaha Pacifica zeker het geval.
Deze aankoop was voor mij de eerste kennismaking met Bax-shop. Over de afhandeling en de service heb ik enkel lovende woorden. Sindsdien heb ik voor al mijn muzikale aankopen nog maar één adres, Bax-shop.nl.
