This Sonic Blue edition of the Pacifica 112V offers you the famous Yamaha quality, sound and playability for a budget-friendly price. This guitar has a lot in common with the Pacifica 112 J, but with a number of exciting upgrades. Take, for example, the set of vintage-sounding Alnico 5 pickups in the HSS configuration. The humbucker at the bridge position lends itself perfectly to rougher guitar work, and with a push/pull of the tone button you can split it into a brilliant-sounding single-coil pickup like the ones you find in the middle and neck positions.

Tremolo bridge and ring-mount humbucker

The bridge of the Yamaha Pacifica 112V is a vintage-style tremolo, which means that with the included handle you can influence the tension of the strings to create awesome vibrato effects The solid saddles ensure a rich sustain and deep intonation. Just like the high-end Pacifica models, there is a bridge pickup mounted on the body via a black mounting ring. The mounting ring helps pick up more vibrations from the body, which in turn creates a more dynamic tone than when mounted in the pickguard.
