At first glance they might look identical, but the Pacifica 112V is substantially different than the Pacifica 112J, especially when it comes to the pickups and electronics. This electric guitar is equipped with Alnico V humbucker and single-coils for a rich, warm and overall tight vintage sound. By pulling out the tone button, the humbucker splits into a single-coil, giving you a wide range of tonal possibilities from rough distortion to sparkling twangs.

Yamaha Pacifica 112V OVS: Cut from the Right Wood

De Pacifica 112V has a solid alder body, finish with the classic colour Old Violin Sunburst. This guitar is lightweight and produces a balanced tone with a slightly-accentuated mid-high range, giving it a good, clear sound. The level 22-fret maple neck is screwed into the body and with a radius of 12.75 inches it plays very comfortably.

Tremolo Bridge and Ring-Mount Humbucker

The bridge of the Yamaha Pacifica 112V is a vintage-style tremolo, meaning you can use the included handle to move the bridge in such a way that it tightens and releases the strings for an excellent vibrato effect. The solid saddles ensures a rich sustain and deep intonation. Just like the high-end Pacifica models, there is a bridge pickup mounted on the body via a black mounting ring. The mounting ring helps pick up more vibrations from the body, which in turn creates a more dynamic tone than when mounted in the pickguard.
