It's also equipped with a vintage-style tremolo bridge, a set of quality tuners, and an H-S-S pickup configuration comprised of a humbucker by the bridge and single-coils positioned in the middle and neck positions. Rich tones of the Yamaha Pacifica 112 J OVS

The serious beginner electric guitarist is already playing a lot with other guitarists, and of course wants to sound good doing it. Luckily the Pacifica 112J makes that easy, thanks to its full sound output and humbucker pickup, which is ideal for rawer music, like rock or metal. The two single-coil pickups have a more vintage tone and less output, giving them a tight, bright, clean sound. This sound lends itself to many playing and music styles, from country and funk to blues and reggae. With a 5-stand switch you can choose between the sounds from the three pickups plus two combinations, or, intermediates. There is also a volume control knob and a tone knob for filtering high frequencies.

Creative with tremolo

The bridge of the Yamaha Pacifica 112 J OVS is a vintage-style tremolo. By screwing the included steel handle into the bridge, you can use it to tilt the entire bridge, which lowers the string tension and thus, the tone. In such a way you can subtly or dramatically create vibrato effects as you smoothly push and release the handle. Think of 60's surf guitar with an added echo and that's what this tremolo does.
