The Yamaha Pacifica 012 II is a great choice for beginners who are searching for a brilliantly versatile electric guitar with a modest price tag. Equipped with an HSS pickup configuration and five-way switch, this model roars forcefully when you engage the humbucker at the bridge, but is also capable of delivering sparkling cleans and warm leads thanks to the two mounted single-coils. On top of that, you can call on the vintage tremolo bridge to enhance your playing with subtle vibrato effects.
The Pacifica 012 II: Royal Foundation Sound
The Yamaha Pacifica 012 II follows up its successful eponymous predecessor and comes upgraded with a mahogany body. This specific variety of tonewood is popular among guitar builders since it helps shape a warm and rich tone. Another difference compared to the first generation is the walnut fretboard, which replaces the old rosewood fretboard and is a more durable and sustainable alternative with just as much appeal, if not more.
Fretello App
As a sweet bonus, Yamaha include a month of free access to Fretello in the form of a voucher stamped with a QR code. The Fretello app is developed by professional guitarists and eases the learning process through clearly structured guitar lessons so you can get to grips with your axe in a step-by-step manner.
