The Yamaha Pacifica 012 II is a great choice for beginners who are searching for a brilliantly versatile electric guitar with a more-than-modest price tag. Equipped with an HSS pickup configuration and five-way switch, this model roars forcefully when you engage the humbucker at the bridge, but is also capable of sparkling cleans and warm leads thanks to the two mounted single-coils. On top of that, you can use the vintage tremolo bridge to enhance and augment your playing with subtle vibrato effects.

The Pacifica 012 II: Royal Foundation Sound

The Yamaha Pacifica 012 II succeeds its eponymous predecessor and now features a mahogany body. This specific variety of tonewood is popular among guitar builders since it helps in shaping warm and rich tone. Another difference compared to the first generation is the walnut fretboard, which replaces the old rosewood fretboard and is a more durable and sustainable alternative with just as much appeal, if not more.
